NEPALGUNJ: A five-year strategic plan on child rights protection was outlined under the aegis of government and non-government offices.
The strategic plan charted out on the initiative of District Child Welfare Committee also includes the inputs provided by the child-rights focused organizations including Plan Nepal, Save the Children, CWIN Nepal.
Local Development Officer Biswo Raj Dotel said that the plan will be brought into effect in 46 VDCs and Nepalgunj municipality of the district once it gets endorsed by the District Child Welfare Committee and District Council.
The integrated strategic plan has aimed at preventing the prevalence of child marriage, child labour and child trafficking and enabling child-friendly environment in society.
'The plan will help create environment of love and compassion to children and contribute to the national efforts to address child related issues', said Women Development Officer Shobha Shah.
