Fire in Parbat forest

PARBAT: A massive fire that started at 3:00 pm on Wednesday at Kapase Community Forest of Pakuwa VDC-7 in Parbat district has not been brought to control yet. At least 50 houses have been at risk due to the fire, locals said.
A large number of security personnel have reached the fire site after locals' attempts to douse the fire turned futile. Police said that a large number of local people and over 90 security personnel including Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been deployed to put out the fire.
Police Inspector Bijay Pandit said the fire has caught the center of the community forest. Some days ago, a heavy fire had caught the Badagaun Community Forest, destroying six hectares of forest land.
