KATHMANDU: Fibro scan service has been introduced in Nepal which can test the toughness of the lever without any surgery. The National Reference Laboratories in New Baneswor has started the service for the first time in Nepal. It can provide information on how much damage has been made to lever because of Hepatitis B and C and the toughness of lever caused by alcohol consumption.
Book expo
KATHMANDU: Book lovers have been showing a growing interest in the book exhibition organised by Nepal Academy here since June 11. The exhibition will conclude on June 25. Coordinator of the book exhibition Ram Kumar Karki said the number of visitors and the sale of books have grown by the day. “We are selling books worth Rs 45,000 each day,” he said. Around 310 books are on sale at the exhibition, priced between Re 1 and Rs 1,200.
