FNJ demands action on vandals

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalis Journalists (FNJ) has said it was concerned over the vandalism on the press vehicles in course of the bandh called by Nepali Congress on Monday.
Issuing a press release today, the FNJ said a vehicle (Ba 8 Cha 3719) belonging to the Nayapatrika daily and another one (Ba 6 Cha 4400) belonging to Nepal FM were vandalised near B and B Hospital, and New Baneshwor respectively.
The vandalism was condemnable as the party had committed not to attack media.
The FNJ has demanded the Nepali Congress to respect the rights of journalists and provide compensation to the concerned media houses. Also, it demanded action on the vandals.
