Envoy Bairagi promotes Nepal's economic diplomacy

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Geneva on Wednesday has organised a special function to promote Nepal’s economic diplomacy in Italy.

Inaugurating the function here in the Capital city Rome, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations diplomat Shanker Bairagi called for constructive and meaningful supports from all quarters including the NRN and larger Nepalese diaspora community while briefing the audience about the current developments in Nepal.

During his address, diplomat ensured that Nepal is safe for investment and offers attractive incentives for foreign direct investment in productive sectors and infrastructure building.

President of NRNA Italy Dr Anil Bhattarai expressed commitment on behalf of NRNA to support the Government initiatives to promote Nepal abroad as a viable and most attractive destination.

The venue was decorated with Nepalese national flags, the artifacts depicting Nepalese art and culture as well as the pictures of Mt Everest, Swoyambhunath, flora and fauna, and Lumbini, among others.
