Employees halt works in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ: Entire work at District Development Committee (DDC), Saptari, has been affected on Friday due to agitations of the Local Bodies Employees' Association.
The Association halted all the works for two hours from 10 this morning by forming a Struggle Committee.
The Association has put forth a nine-point demand.
According to chairman of the Association and Coordinator of the struggle committee, Kamaleshwor Biraji, they will obstruct the works for indefinite period if their demands were not fulfilled.
Biraji added that they have been compelled to launch agitation programmes after Local Development Officer at the DDC, Saptari, turned a deaf ear to their previous demands. The officials had also submitted a memorandum to the Local Development Officer to resolve internal problems and works relating to the district development projects.
