KATHMANDU: A visiting six-member team of the European Union called on Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at his official residence in Singha Durbar on Thursday and learnt about the latest developments in the constitution drafting and peace processes.




Meanwhile, the team also conferred with Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala on Thursday morning. Informing about the meeting to reporters Minister Koirala said that the EU team expressed its commitment to support Nepal on drafting the new constitution and peace process.




The team is expected to meet President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and chairman of CA Subhas Nembang on Friday. It will be organising a press meet on their visit after the completion of parleys on Friday evening.


The EU delegation that arrived in Nepal on Thursday for a two-day visit will learn about the latest scenario in the constitution drafting and peace processes during meetings with the top brass of the country.
