KATHMANDU: Diplomats of the European Countries on Thursday morning have called on Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his residence in Lazimpat.
During the meeting, EU envoys expressed their concerns regarding the current political deadlock following the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly, urging Dahal to forge consensus among the political parties.
Responding to their concerns, Chairman Dahal said erstwhile CA could not yield the new constitution despite his utmost efforts owing to the differences among the parties on the issues of federalism. Dahal said the efforts are being made to forge consensus among the political parties.
Hel assured the diplomats to resolve the current political impasse through a high level political mechanism that would be formed through consensus among the political parties.
On the occasion, the envoys pledged their commitment to continue their support in Nepal‘s development.
