KATHMANDU: The Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit arrested Surya Prasad Shrestha (27) of Dang with heroin from Gongabu on Wednesday. Officials said he was caught in possession of nine grams of heroin in a search operation. Shrestha has been charged under the Narcotic Drug (Control and Punishment Act).

Molester arrested

KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested Bhim Bahadur Shrestha (19) of Dhading on the charge of molesting a 13-year-old girl in Sukedhara. The victim’s family has lodged an FIR against Shrestha. According to the complaint, he had molested the girl at her rented room and warned her against exposing it to her family and police on Tuesday.

Attackers in net

KATHMANDU: Police held Samir Karki (22) and Suman Maharjan (29) for hitting Ashish Baral (20) with an iron rod in Sukedhara. Investigators said the duo had attacked Baral while he was working at his shop at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. He has suffered head injury and is undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

Body found

KATHMANDU: An unclaimed body of a woman in her 40s was found at Dhungedhara, Kathmandu- 6 on Wednesday. Police said the identity of the woman was not known and they were trying to establish it. According to investigators, injuries were not detected on the body. —
