Dozen injured in brawl

RAUTAHAT: A dozen people sustained injuries, two seriously, when a clash ensued over a petty issue of monetary transaction in Laxmipur Belbichhawa, of Rautahat on Thursday morning.

Each conflicting groups — one taking sides of Jaya Mangal Choudhari Kalawar and another siding for Bijay Kalawar of ward No 6 — fought a pitched battle. District Police Office said the duo along with Raju Kalawar, Kalawati Devi Kalawar, Jawahar Choudhari, Lalan Choudhari, Arabinda Choudhari, Jogindra Choudhari and a 15-year-old girl sustained injuries in the melee.
