Door-to-door campaign to wipe out dengue disease

PARASI: Baikunthanagar Women Farmers’ Group in Gaindakot Village Development Committee has initiated a campaign to search and kill mosquitoes in a bid to check life-threatening dengue disease. A group comprising 35 women has been reaching the doorsteps of local community to remove mosquitoes by identifying the most-affected areas. We have been counseling locals to manage the home-produced garbage and fill up pits with reserved water nearby residence as water and garbage offer good environment for mosquitoes to increase, said former chairperson of women farmers group, Durga Lamichhane.
