Doctors shut WR hospital

THT Online

POKHARA: Following the allegations of the family members whose patient died while undergoing treatment, doctors of Western Regional Hospital on Sunday halted services citing insecurities in carrying out their duties.

Family members of Surakshya Gurung who expired during the treatment in the hospital have demanded one million rupees as compensation and a public apology from the doctor attending on her. Though they sat for talks to resolve the issue the hospital administration refused the proposals of Gurung’s family members. The administration has said that the doctor attending Gurung was not responsible for the incident and it has sought help from the local rights activists and the political parties to resolve the issue.
