DHANGADHI: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba blamed Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai for driving the country into confrontation on Monday.
Leader Deuba, who has reached Kailali after finishing his trip to the hilly districts, blamed the Prime Minister while talking to the media here.
UCPN-Maoist and the Prime Minister own the keys of outlets though the Prime Minister is whirling the country into confrontation, he said.
He further went on to say Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai should quit the government to save the nation from confrontation.
Deuba urged the Prime Minister to tender his resignation to bail out the country from the ongoing stalemate claiming that only then can the consensus government be formed following which the new election can be held by it.
He claimed that the Maoist is being criticised from village-to-village adding “People of village to village are united against the Maoist which I discovered after interacting with them.”
Referring to the displacement of Dailekh journalists, he came down heavily on the government and added “What can one say to a government that transferred the employees pointing out their failure to open fire.
