Dane arrested with 7 kg hashish from TIA

KATHMANDU: The police arrested a Danish national trying to smuggle seven kilogram of hashish from the Tribhuvan International Airport in the Capital on Wednesday afternoon.
The security personnel held Ronnie Dalgaard (Passport number 204682594) from the hold baggage area of the TIA after an X-ray machine there detected the contraband concealed in his luggage at around 4 p.m., Deputy Inspector General of Police Ramesh Shekhar Bajaracharya, the security in-charge of TIA, informed.
He was set to board an Etihad Airways to go to Copenhage via Abu Dhabi.
He has been sent to the Narcotic Drug Law Enforcement Unit in New Baneshfor for further action.
