Dahal meets ailing Koirala

KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday conferred with ailing Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala who is presently undergoing treatment in Gleneagles Hospital and Research Centre, Singapore. It has been reported that Dahal agreed to be a part of a high level political mechanism which is expected to seek a way out of the current political standstill. The reports further said that Dahal agreed to adopt a middle path for consensus.
It is learnt that Koirala will be returning home on Sunday as he has been recuperating well. Koirala’s visit to Singapore for treatment on Saturday was followed by the unexpected visit of Dahal on Monday. Dahal was accompanied by his party foreign department chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara in the meeting with Koirala.
