Couple steal Rs 7 lakh from office‚ fleed

KATHMANDU: A couple who originally hails from Darjeeling allegedly stole Rs 7 lakh in cash from the Meet Communication Academic and Consultancy in Chabahil, and escaped on Sunday, police said.
Manoj Rai aka Sabid (25) and his wife Shritika Rai were staff at the business operated by Manoj Maharjan (27) of Jorpati. The duo fled with the fortune stashed away at their office.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, according to police.
