Cop hurt in scuffle at 69 Dance Bar

KATHMANDU: Police said Sub Inspector Bhim Chhetri was injured when he was hit on the head with a beer bottle by a group of youths during a scuffle at the Balaju-based 69 Dance Bar on Friday midnight.
Chhetri, who is stationed at the Metropolitan Police Circle in Balaju, was rushed to the Janamaitri Hospital for treatment.
One of the assaulters, identified as Niraj Thapa of Melamchi, Sindhupalchok district, has been detained.
The police officer has been discharged from the hospital.
