RAUTAHAT: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal today said that his government would draft the constitution in the next seven months.
“In the next seven months, this government will draft the new constitution," he said.
He also ruled out any changes in the present government until the new constitution was readied. “This government has the support of 22 parties and would continue to function as per the desire of the people,” he said.
While challenging the UCPN-Maoist to garner support for the formation of a new government, PM Nepal also urged them to adopt 'politics of consensus' and give up anarchic activities.
Addressing a programme organised for the exchange of good wishes for Tihar and Chhath at Gaur, the PM said, "I urged the UCPN-Maoist to end their rebellious attitudes by accepting the proposal forwarded by NC and UML."
PM Nepal said that the Moaists have not yet learnt the lessons from past mistakes despite having to step down for taking unilateral decisions.
PM Nepal also cautioned the Maoists against attempting to drag the President into controversy.
"UML and NC have already forwarded our proposal to the Maoists by being flexible to the maximum extent; there is no point for the Maoists to continue raising old issues," PM Nepal said.
Saying that deforestation and extraction of sand and stones from the rivers has been increasing the chances of flood and landslides in Terai, he directed the concerned offices to cease the acts early.
Earlier today, security personnel resorted to using force when the Maoist cadres tried to waive black flags at PM Nepal, in Gaur. The police briefly held ten protestors involved in the incident. Maoist Bhojpura sub-committee has condemned the incident.

The title of this article itself is the JOKE OF THE DAY. The future of the Nepal mother and Nepalese citizens depends upon the constitution that would be drafted by the jumbo team of 601 CA members. But the politicians, political parties, CA members are not still dedicated for writing the new constitution due to political interference from Hindustan, U.S.A. and internal party members. Now it does not matter how many times they imitate the same sentence about drafting the new constitution, it’s not possible anymore unless it has been already drafted by the government of Hindustan who always play in our internal matter. So in my opinion its high time we think about the solutions of the possible accidents that may occur the day when the time of drafting new constitution will be over. As there will be no new constitution and even the value of the current constitution is going to end the same day, we don’t have any other options than reviving the constitution of 1990’s but the question arises are politicians ready for it? I used the term “politicians” because it was them we went into Federalism. How many Nepalese citizens thought of going into federalism or to end the monarchy or Hinduism in Nepal? There has not been done any voting or collect the opinion of citizens. The faith of Nepal mother, Nepalese citizens, Royal family, Hinduism all were decided by Hindustan putting the corrupted or gorillas of Nepal in front of everyone. They became successful in making Nepal mother a devil’s playground. So, it’s our time to decide our faith because we are Nepalese and we love Nepal Mother. MAHARJAN bimal, Kathmandu, Nepal

A person who needs crutches to stand up is talking about catching a tiger by himself. A person who failed to unite his own party worker is talking about uniting the Nepalese. A person who was the weakest leader in his own party to manage a single party is talking about managing the country. A person who was dumped by the people is talking about plan and project to rule the same people who disqualified him. A person who resigned after a shameful show of his party has leaked saliva for the power and is talking about consensus. Shame on you Mr. Madhav Nepal; shame on us (all Nepalese) to have a looser leader like you to rule our proud country as you were dumped and disqualified by the people. Nepali National, D.C., USA
