Chinese climber breathed his last at the Camp 4 yesterday night

KATHMANDU: A Chinese mountaineer who successfully scaled Mt Everest on Sunday died from altitude sickness while climbing down the world’s highest mountain.

Identified as Hsiao Shishlee (Chinese Passport No. 214857166), the 58-year-old had stayed over at the Camp 4 after he suffered from altitude sickness yesterday.

According to police, liaison officer Gyanendra Shrestha called up the Area Police Office, Namche from the Everest region today to inform that the Chinese climber breathed his last at the Camp 4 yesterday night.
