KATHMANDU; Kathmandu District Court (KDC) today remanded Milan Gurung nicknamed Chakre Milan to judicial custody for further proceedings. He is already doing time in Central Jail for attempted murder and drug trafficking.
The court sent Chakre on remand on two other charges — attempt to murder Sanjeev Oli, a promoter of Habitat Housing, in New Baneshwor and setting fire to a bulldozer rented by the same company, at Dhapasi.
Bishnu Shrestha and Nirajan Poudyal had attempted to murder Oli under Chakre’s direction on February 23. Oli was attacked after he refused to give them 15 per cent share of Habitat Housing and two crore rupees donation to Chakre’s gang.
Chakre had also mobilised and directed four people to set fire to the bulldozer at the housing on February 22 and to kill Yadav Silwal, driver of the dozer. KDC has already sent Rup Jung Gurung, Bijaya Lama and Nirajan Poudyal to judicial custody, whereas Raj Kumar was released on bail on March 25 in connection with the same case.
