The ailment with symptoms of scabies and coughing has spread in goats in Wards No 4, 5 and 6 of Khidima over the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, foot and mouth disease has affected a large number of cattle at Nipane VDC in Sindhuli district.
The outbreak was reported in the area last month. So far, six cattle have died while hundreds of them have been affected.
Gyanma Kunwar, a Nipane local, said the disease had spread due to the ignorance of farmers. According to him, the villagers had not taken necessary precaution while only three or four cattle had contracted the disease, allowing to grow as an epidemic. Farmers are worried that their oxen are sick in the cultivation season.
