Envoys meet PM
KATHMANDU: Swiss Ambassador Thomas Gass met Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter’s office at Singha Durbar on Tuesday. After the meeting, ambassador Gass said that they discussed on Swiss development assistance to Nepal. Meanwhile, Danish Ambassador to Nepal, Finn Thilsted called on the PM and discussed the ongoing peace process, constitution drafting process and current political deadlock. — HNS

KATHMANDU: UNMIN Chief Karen Landgren on Tuesday met Nepali Congress vice-president and parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel at the latter’s residence in Boharatar, Kathmandu. According to Paudel, they discussed the ongoing peace process, political deadlock, integration of Maoists’ combatants, releasing of disqualified minors and the effective implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. — HNS
NC’s concept paper
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress is submitting its concept paper on the new state structure to the concerned committee of the Constituent Assembly on Thursday. Central committee meeting of the party on Tuesday directed its state restructuring committee to give final touches to the concept paper, accommodating the suggestions of NC central committee members, by Wednesday. CC member Binaya Dhoj Chand said, “The report will be submitted to the State Restructuring Committee of the CA after approval from party acting president Suhshil Koirala.” — HNS
