Campaign to school out-of-school children

BIRGUNJ: While 13 per cent children in Parsa are still out of school education, the Parsa District Education Office has initiated a campaign to ensure enrollment of all children in school education.
A special door-to-door campaign has been initiated to bring the out-of-school children to enrollment, said District Education Officer Pramodh Kumar Saha.
Most of the out-of-school children belong to disadvantaged and marginalized families.
Around 41 per cent school-age children were out of school in the fiscal year 2066-67 BS (2009-10) while it is around 25 per cent in 2067-68 BS.
Out of total 150,000 school-age children who are out of school in the district, around 19,000 belong to Dalit community.
