CPN-M condemns attack over party office ownership

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist on Saturday has condemned the sudden attack on its cadres over the party office ownership issue by the Dahal-led Maoist cadres in Chitwan district.
“The cadres under the direction of UCPN-M leaders duo Narayan Dahal and Chitra Bahadur Shrestha, brandishing sticks and weapons, have attacked our cadres and replaced the district party office board today morning,” said CPN-M Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.
Six cadres including Lal Singh, Rupa Tamang and Anusha Nepali, who were injured in the attack, have been receiving treatment at Bharatpur hospital. The district party office is under the police control.
Meanwhile, the CPN- M has asked the UCPN-M to stop such condemnable attacks and settle the disputes over ownership in a mutual understanding, warning of dire consequences unless the issue is resolved immediately.
