CIAA up in arms against squatters´ commissions

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) expressed its deep concern over rampant distribution of ownership certificates to squatters by the squatters’ problem solving commission, Banke.
CIAA issuing a press release on Tuesday informed that it is going to write to the Ministry of Land Reform to stop all the activities of such commissions across the nation and issue an order to the district administrations to collect all the files and papers of such commissions.
Similarly the issued release further reads that CIAA is also going to urge the Home Ministry to issue an order to the respective district administrations offices to investigate such commissions.
