KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) slated for Saturday afternoon is likely to endorse an amendment to the constitution, as the bill was tabled yesterday.
Stage has been set for endorsing the bill to amend the Article 70 of the Interim Constitution, in order to shorten the process of statute drafting considering the limited time available for the parties and the CA.
Minister Post Bahadur Bogati had tabled bill yesterday.
Article 70 states that each of the articles of the new constitution need to be endorsed one-by-one by a two-thirds majority.
Only 9 days are left to promulgate the new constitution.
