KATHMANDU: The Constituent Assembly (CA) today made the seventh amendment to its working calendar after four thematic committees failed to submit their concept papers and preliminary drafts within the November 15 deadline.
As per the earlier schedule, the CA full House was supposed to finish discussions on the reports of the thematic committees by mid-November.
Despite the recent change, the final date of promulgating the new constitution — May 28, 2010 — however, remains unchanged.
Meanwhile, the CA full House started discussion on the concept paper and preliminary draft of the Fundamental Rights and the State's Directive Principles today. More than 20 CA members aired their views on the concept paper.
