BUTWAL: The largest statue of Hanuman is to be installed at local Jeetgadhi with the objective of contributing to the development of tourism in this region by promoting religious tourism.
The Hanuman is the legendary Hindu monkey-deity known for his devotion, wisdom, strength and valour and is highly revered.
The mammoth statue of the Sankatmochan Hanuman is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 150 million. Indian MP and the heir to the Gorkshyanath Temple, Yogi Aditynth, is scheduled to lay the foundation for the same on Saturday.
The statute would be 151-feet tall and would be installed on some three bighas plot on the premises of the Durga Temple at Jeetgadhi.
