KATHMANDU: In a departure from tradition, the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) board will publish the result of supplementary exams, scheduled for July 22, within a month. The scheme will offer the opportunity to students to catch up with regular pass outs and not lose a year, claim the authorities.“Unlike the past, we are trying our level best to publish the results on time this year. The efforts are underway so that those who failed in their first attempt could also enrol in colleges this year,” said Jeewan Sharma Paudel, deputy controller, SLC board. “We are hopeful that we will meet the deadline.” The scheme was introduced so that those who failed in not more than two subjects could appear for compartmental exams. “That is why the exam schedule was published a month before the SLC results came out,” Paudel added. The results will be published on August 31, while the academic year starts from July 31.
