Blitz Chess tourney

LALITPUR: The Himalayan Chess Club is organising the first Lalitpur Open Blitz Chess Tournament on November 14. The one-day event at Bagdol will see 40 players playing seven rounds in Swiss league format. Since the decision is made in eight minutes it is also called “lightening chess.” The winner of the tournament will earn Rs 2,500, said the organisers. The club said it will organise the tournament in every 15 days.
