Big 3 agree to activate task force

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the three big political parties--Nepali Congress, UML and UCPN-Maoist on Wednesday agreed to come up with a revised version of the common resolution motion to end the political stalemate through a political taskforce formed earlier.

The taskforce that comprises Dev Gurung, UCPN-Maoist, Yubraj Gyawali, UML and Arjun Narsingh KC, NC, is expected to come up with a revised version of the common resolution motion that would be agreeable to all three parties in a meeting at 2 pm on Thursday.

According to UCPN-Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha today's meeting agreed to activate the taskforce and come up with a common resolution motion. He expected that tomorrow's meeting would be able to draft the common resolution which will be able to clear the political deadlock.

The meeting was attended by Jhala Nath Khanal and Home Minister Bhim Rawal from UML, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Dev Gurung from UCPN-Maoist and Ram Chandra Poudel and Bimalendra Nidhi from NC.
