Bhattarai warns of armed revolt

BAGLUNG: UCPN-Maoists stalwart Dr. Baburam Bhattarai on Wednesday said that the present political deadlock would not be resolved unless the president corrected his move. Dr Bhattarai has ruled out a consensus should the President's move to reinstate former army chief Rookmangud Katawal was not corrected.
Speaking at a press meet organised by his party's Revolutionary Journalists' Union in Baglung on Wednesday, Bhatrarai claimed that the parties in the government, with the foreign aid, were hatching a conspiracy trying to send back the Moaists to the Jungle.
Dr Bhattarai also said his party could also consider bringing a vote of no confidence against the government and impeach the president should the talks falter any further. Meantime, he also threatened with another armed revolt if his party's demand were not addressed.
He further charged that the present government was trying to handover the country to ''foreign forces''. However, he did not clarify who were those ''foreign forces''.

By the manner with which Dr. Baburam Bhattarai speaks it seems that he had actually completed his PhD degree on the subjects of political Blackmailing and Arm-twisting. Why does he always speak with a forked tongue and not spell out which foreign force wishes to take over Nepal? Or could it be said that the Nepali Maoists are actually planning to sell Nepal to China going by Prachanda's recent visit to Hongkong and his planned visit to Beijing soon. Prabhat Karki, Lalitpur

Dr. Bhhattrai can now elude his cadres by saying this and that but he and his party is the one who has always been creating havoc in the country in the name of revultion. he came to power but what he did besides proving the people and leading country towards anarchy in the name of castist federalism with special power to aboriginal cast. is not this a example of populist act and discrimination against other casts who shares same region. in the name of liberating cast system they are again ressurecting same.
