Battery charging problem on Chitwan CCTV system

CHITWAN: Problems have surfaced on the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) installed by the District Police Office Chitwan in Bharatpur and Narayangarh areas.
The CCTVs were installed in different parts of the towns with the financial support from the Third Division, an NGO.
According to the Office, the CCTV at Sahid Chowk and Pulchowk of Narayangarh remain dysfunctional during the load-shedding hours. It is learnt that problems are in charging of the batteries.
The office has said that it has undertaken the process of repairing the batteries. The criminal activities in the areas are expected to increase with the closure of CCTV. A study of crime cases and road accidents here had been easier with the installation of the CCTVs.
