BANKE: The District Public Health Office, Banke, has kept Baijapur VDC under direct observation after infection of seasonal disease was found to be high here of late.
Health workers equipped with necessary medicines have been kept at high alert after hundreds of people were affected by various seasonal diseases appearing in various settlements since last week, said Chief of District Public Health Office Jiwan Kumar Malla.
The villagers in the whole VDC have been suffering from various diseases including headaches, throat pain, sneezing and diarrhea in the whole VDC, according to Baijapur Sub-Health Post. The District Health Office has been collecting the samples sending Ram Bahadur Chand as a focal person.
The team has collected samples of malaria, dengue and swine flu and sent them to Kathmandu for tests, said focal person Chand.
Children and elderly people are among those suffering most from the diseases.
