NEW DELHI: Indian anti-corruption campaigners Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev are holding a daylong protest to press the government to act against widespread graft and bring back hundreds of billions of dollars stashed overseas.

The yoga celebrity Ramdev says he and activist Hazare will hold more protests through August "to bring back black money stashed abroad."

Thousands of supporters joined Sunday's demonstration near Parliament. Hazare and Ramdev were holding a symbolic daylong fast.

The two held similar protests last year to demand legislation cracking down on government graft. They have drawn legions of supporters fed up with India's entrenched corruption and angry over the hundreds of billions of dollars sent abroad by those avoiding taxes or hiding ill-gotten gains.
