LONDON: WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange has asked Britain’s Supreme Court to reopen his extradition case, an unusual legal maneuver aimed at blocking his removal to Sweden. British SC spokesman Ben Wilson confirmed on Tuesday that papers had been lodged in the high-profile case. Last month, the SC rejected Assange’s last-ditch plea against extradition to Sweden, where he’s wanted on sex crimes allegations. Wilson said justices could choose to reject the challenge, ask for written submissions, or hold a new hearing.
