POKHARA: Maoist foreign department head Krishna Bahadur Mahara on Tuesday said that the statement of Bidhya Bhandari, Defence Minister is leading the country to violence rather than to peace.
Earlier the Defence Minister had said that army integration is impossible and that the greater peace agreement should be revised.
Attacking the statement of the Defence Minister he said that peace is impossible without army integration.
Inaugurating the second district conference of Revolutionary Journalist Association Kaski he added that federalism should be on the basis of Nepali characteristics. He also opined that while going in for federalism one should be alert that the country would not get divided and one should devise a strategy with great concern.
He added that for the development of the country there is a need for a consensus government. He further said that a stable government should given the chance to govern the country for at least 30 years according to their vision. He also said that the trend of changing the government in a short span of time should end.
