The creators of Angry Birds have launched Bad Piggies, a brand new game. Rovio, the Finnish company who makes the famous game, didn’t have much luck with their recent creation, Amazing Alex. They have been trying to create something just as good as Angry Birds.

In Bad Piggies, players have to make vehicles out of different parts and get the little pig to the finish line. Angry Birds created in 2009 proved so popular it’s been downloaded over a billion times.


Record breaking burger at 730 kg

An American casino has recently claimed a new world record for the world’s biggest ever burger. The mammoth bacon cheeseburger was made at the Black Bear Casino Resort near Carlton in Minnesota. The gut-busting burger was three metres in diameter and weighed 914kg. It was heavier than a Smart car, which weigh in at around 730 kg. The burger included 27 kg of bacon, 23 kg of lettuce, 23 kg of sliced onions, 18 kg of pickles and 18 kg of cheese. It took about four hours to cook

the burger and a crane was used to flip it.


To Oz, all the way from Dorset

Four-year-old Jasmine Hudson dropped the bottle in the water at the end Bournemouth Pier, Dorset while on a family holiday at Bournemouth. She was hoping it would reach her aunt who lives on Gernsey in the English channel. Five months later the family were amazed when a letter arrived at their home in Tamworth, Staffordshire, which read, “Dear Jasmine, as fate would have it we have been introduced to each other by your message in a bottle”. The bottle had been found 10,000 miles away in Largs Bay in South Australia by grandmother Barbara Richards as she walked along the beach collecting shells with her brother.

Jasmine is now writing a special letter back to Barbara and they are planning to talk on Skype to one another.
