KHALANGA: The air services to and from Chaurjahari Airport, the main business hub of Rukum has come to a halt for the past two months.

This was because of the lack of tower traffic staff working in the Civil Aviation Office, Chaurjahari under CAAN.

Tower staff was demanded for, but CAAN did not take heed, said an employee Surendra Nepali.

Passengers of Salyan, Rukum and Jajarkot have been stranded after the airport was closed at a time when there were four flights in a week.

Many patients have also suffered from the lack of services as medicines for diarrhea meant for Jajarkot could not arrive, said chief of District Health Office, Jajarkot, Dr. Jhalak Gautam.
