KATHMANDU: Riding on striker Bharat Khawas's hat-trick, Nepal enjoyed a thumping 6-0 win over the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) in their AFC Challenge Cup Group D Qualifiers match played at the Dasharath Stadium here in the Capital on Saturday.
In the day's second kickoff, Khawas scored a hat-trick in the fourth, 41st and 72nd minutes.
Likewise, Santosh Sahukhala (30th minute), Raju Tamang (60th minute) and Sandip Rai (67th minute) also scored goal apiece to crush the opponents.
Nepal will meet Bangladesh on March 4 and end their campaign with a match against Palestine on March 6.
In the first match of the day, Palestine defeated Bangladesh 1-0.
