3 killed in separate mishaps

NEPALGUNJ: Two persons were killed and other 12 were injured in a tractor accident on Tuesday at 12 noon in Bhurigaun, Bardiya.

According to the police the deceased have been identified as Bakhat Shahi,15 and Binod Shahi 18, local residents of Neulapur 5, Dumreni. They added that three of the injured are in serious condition.

The tractor lost control when it was heading toward Chisapani, Karnali from Newolapur for a picnic.

The three seriously injured are undergoing treatment in Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur while the others are undergoing treatment in a local medical centre.

Meanwhile, a man was killed when his scooter slipped on some pebbles on the road on Monday night at 11:30 pm while heading to Ganeshpur at Setu Bika Chowk, Nepalgunj.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Gyawali, a local resident of Kuseni Palpa.

According to the District Police Office, Banke Gyawali was seriously injured in the accident and breathed his last in Bheri Anchal Hospital, Nepalgunj.
