TULSIPUR: A two-day bandh called by the Transportation Entrepreneurs Federation Dang Chapter and the Rapti Zone Transportation Entrepreneurs Association continued to disrupt transportation in Rapti Zone for the second day on Monday.
At least 30 agitators were arrested during their protest on Sunday night.
The bandh organisers demanded compensation for the vehicles which were set on fire, vandalised and seized in different incidents. Their demands include compensation for four vehicles seized by the former Royal Nepal Army in 2002 and the vehicles set ablaze in Dang and Banke earlier.
They warned that they would shut down west Nepal from September 14 if their demands were not met. Transportation in the whole of the Rapti zone- Rukum, Rolpa, Salyan, Pyuthan and Dang and East-West Highway has been halted due to the bandh
