27 arrested for power theft in Bharatpur

CHITWAN: A team deployed under Electricity Leakage Control Campaign today has arrested 27 persons from different parts of Bharatpur Municipality in Chitwan district on the charge of their involvement in electricity leakage.
According to Spokespersons at Nepal Electricity Authority, Distribution Centre, Bharatpur, Suresh Pandit, the team arrested 27 persons from the Bharatpur Municipality Ward No: 8, 9, 11 and 12.
Of the arrestees, 10 are women and the rest are male.
The team comprising 412 people was deployed for the Campaign.
The NEA said that incidents of leakage of electricity have come down with the start of the campaign and million of rupees had been collected in this connection.
