DAMAULI: At least 24 persons were injured in a road mishap at Shital Chautara of Bhimad in Tanahun district, Saturday.


The bus (Dha 1 Kha 243) bound to Syangja from Bhimad met with the accident at the turning of Shital Chautara due to brake failure.

The bus plunged 15 meters down from the road.


Babita Thapa, Amaya Thapa of Arunodaya-1, Bibek of Bhimad-1, Hem Bahadur Soti, Harsha Bahadur Soti, Raju Soti and Harka Bahadur Soti of Palpa district were critically injured in the accident, according to Area Police Office.

Injured have been sent to Pokhara for treatment, said police.


Other passengers, who sustained minor injuries in the accident, are undergoing treatment at Bhimad based Primary Health Center, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Netra Kshatri.
