17 hurt in road accident

LAHAN: At least 17 people were injured in a road accident that took place at Medinipur of Siraha district along the East-West Highway on Friday.
Among the injured, condition of four is critical, said the Ward Police Office Lahan.
They are Tej Bahadur Rokka from Mulkharka, Sankhuwasabha, Ratna Tamang, 42, from Taplejung, Dipendra Ram from Jhokraha, Sunsari and driver Subas Thapa of Dangihat, Morang.
Among them, three injured have been undergoing treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neurological Hospital, Biratnagar and driver Thapa at Nobel Medical College.
A bus (Ba 4 Kha 1041) bound for Kakarvitta, Jhapa from Kathmandu hit a truck (Na 2 Kha 2630) from backside, said Superintendent of Police Rajesh Lal Karna of the District Police Office Siraha.
