12 plastic ponds constructed in Damauli

DAMAULI: Some 12 plastic ponds have been constructed in six VDCs of Tanahun district with the financial assistance of European Union, Practical Action and Chhoje Foundation.
The plastic ponds have been constricted in the VDCs including Kota, Bhirkot, Baidi, Chhimkeswori, Chhipchhipe and Devghat with a view to promoting off-seasonal vegetable farming through rain water harvesting, said Chairperson of VDC Coordination Committee, Pratap Gurung.
Hundreds of farmers are making a good amount of money from vegetable farming with the construction of such ponds.
