1 dies of tusker attack

BARDIYA: Giriraj Pariyar, 32, a resident of Magaragadi VDC -8 of Bardiya district died of elephant attack on Friday night.
Pariyar was attacked by a wild tusker coming from the Bardiya National Park at 12:00 mid-night yesterday while he was sleeping at home, said park's Assistant Conservation Officer Ramesh Kumar Thapa.
People of Bhimmapur, Manau, Gola, Shivapur, Magaragadi and other VDCs adjacent to the national park are being the victims of frequent elephant terror.
