DHANGADHI: The bandh called demanding for an integrated Far-Western region in the new constitution continued for the 14th day today, despite the Government and the agitating side forming a talks team to hold a dialogue on the same.
Normal life in the region including in Kailali and Kanchanpur remained crippled on Thursday due to the bandh enforced since the past fourteen days.
All academic institutions, industries, government offices and transportation service remain closed since day one of the shutdown.
The talk’s team formed by the agitators had left for the capital from Dhangadi on Wednesday but remains stuck at Bardia due to the bandh called by various other groups.
Meanwhile, in protest against the obstruction created to the travelling of the talk’s team, the agitation in Kailali cut off power supply by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) from Lamki of the district to Kohalpur.
During the bandh today, the protestors also vandalised two passenger bus (Na.4Kha. 6266) and (Na. 4 Kha. 6556) at Godavari on the Dhangadi-Dadeldhura highway.
The buses were heading towards Bajhang from Attariya of Kailali.
