KATHMANDU: Fringe parties including CPN-Maoist deemed that that the agreement reached between the big four political parties should not be understood as a national consensus.
Hinting at the decision taken by four major political forces to go for fresh poll to elect a new Constituent Assembly (CA), they stated on Friday that the country is reeling under political and constitutional crisis in the wake of the demise of the CA.
Issuing a press release today, the fringe parties believed that the existing political chaos and legal hurdles should be resolved by holding a massive political consensus.
“Four parties—the UCPN-M, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UDMF—alone cannot bail the country out of the current political impasse,” reads the press release signed by CPN-M Chairman Mohan Baidhya.
Expressing stern dissatisfaction over the syndicate of big four parties, Baidhya’s party has demanded a round table conference to relieve the country.
