'Pocket area' brings in Rs.250 m

DAMAULI: Tanahun district this year has witnessed the production of orange worth Rs. 250 million.
It was that of Rs. 200 million last year.
The production of orange has gone up with good yields of orange trees planted in the new garden, according to District Agriculture Development Office.
One-and-a-half dozen VDCs of Tanahun district have been declared ‘pocket area’ for orange production.
The orange farming in the area above 900 metres from the sea level returns good results, said agriculture experts.
